Arisa Shibata, one of my submissions for "The World Ends With You" contest. Just to save you all some time, first I'll give the technical info, and then the profile info afterwards in case you don't want to read about her

This was my first time working on the program SAI, which I now LOVE OMG. I like the way it does the lines and whatnot <3 It was lots of fun to draw and color~ I tried to go for a more "anime" type of shading here, as you might notice.

Yes, all of her four sample expressions on the right are copy-and-pasted head, and then drawn in expression. What can I say? It was late at night and I fail at drawing a ton of almost-exactly-the-same things consistently e_e;

Her weapon is a flute. She _{ROW, ROW,} fights the _POWER!! Noise with the music played from her flute. This character quirk was made for ~Bandie4Life by the way, because she demanded it. Or something.

Oh yeah, and that's real Katakana. I hope I drew the 's (for lack of a better way to describe them) on "shi" at the correct angle e_e; 'Cause it's A-RI-SA SHI-BA-TA as opposed to A-RI-SA TSU-BA-TA >>;

Oh, right. Her name? Totally random. There's no pun or fun meaning behind it. _{I think.}

ANYWAY CHARACTER STUFF NOW SKIP IF YOU DUN WANNA READ.

Arisa Shibata is a player in the Reaper's Game. After coming to Shibuya to check out the latest fashions, she found herself trapped under the rules of the Reaper's Game. Despite the ominous threat of erasure from existence, she maintains a light-hearted personality, which gives off the impression that she considers the entire thing to be little more than an elaborate joke. After teaming up with a boy named Owen in an effort to win the Reaper's game, they battle together against the Noise from the ill thoughts and emotions of the people.

When fighting, she relies on her flute to summon up magical attacks. The music played on the flute call up different powers against the Noise.

Personality-wise, Arisa is... strange. She thinks things that most people would call "weird" are actually "cute". She also has a habit of buying things that don't appear to be selling well, on account of it being "lonely". While she understands even complex instructions quite clearly, she has trouble treating anything seriously. To Owen's annoyance, she does not regard even Noise as being bizarre or impossible, though she does recognize them as a danger.

Anyway, yeah. Mind you, this is my FIRST submission. I hope to submit a character bit for Owen, too. And, if I have time, another character as well. Either that or a concept art for a Noise.
